As late summer transitions into autumn, the surrounding area becomes a haven for berry and mushroom picking. And don't miss the chance to witness the enchanting Midnight Sun during early summer, a truly unique phenomenon.
In Winter
In winter, nature rests in a deep sleep and offers a unique, calm and peaceful atmosphere. The Peninsula Bäckerudden, with its unobstructed views across the surrounding lake and absence of light pollution from nearby cities, is the ideal location for spotting the northern lights. From September to the end of March in Swedish Lapland, the spectacular Northern Lights, known as the greatest light show on earth, can often be seen. From October to March, the lake and land are frozen and covered with snow, providing vast areas for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or wildlife watching. Reindeers and moose can often be seen grazing around the buildings.
